Learning to sail is about so much more than understanding the theory. It's about feeling the wind, reading the weather, working as a team, and gaining the confidence to make the right decisions at sea.

 

Our Sailing Workshops are designed for people who want to learn in the most rewarding way possible, by getting out on the water. You'll spend seven unforgettable days living aboard a real offshore sailing yacht, combining practical lessons with hands-on experience as we explore the incredible islands of the Azores.

Unlike our private Sail & Learn experiences, our workshops are booked per person, making them perfect for solo travellers, couples, or friends who want to join a shared crew. You'll meet like-minded people from around the world, learn together, and share an adventure you'll never forget.

From your very first day you'll be actively involved. Take the helm, trim the sails, plan passages, practise navigation, anchor in beautiful bays, and discover what life is really like aboard a cruising yacht. Every mile sailed builds your skills, your confidence, and your understanding of the sea.

 

Every workshop follows a structured learning programme while remaining flexible enough to make the most of the weather and sea conditions. Depending on the workshop, you may sail between islands, complete overnight passages, or even time your adventure to coincide with local events such as Santa Maria's famous Maré de Agosto Festival.
